Farmer's Wife - Week 17

I was a little late finishing my blocks for Week 16, so Week 17 got here in a hurry. I have finished three blocks this week. As you can see, I am still playing around on Picnik.com with my photos.

This is what I get for trying to fussy cut a block late at night. I was absolutely certain I had placed the center circle squarely in the center of the medallion in this block. Nope.

Yesterday, I received these fabrics in the mail from Deanna in the Bee Unique, Bee Knotty bee.

She has asked for a traditional star pattern for her quilt. I love the process of picking a block for someone, using their fabric for inspiration.

If you are interested in joining an online bee, go to http://www.quiltingbeeblocks.com/ for a list of new bees that are forming. There is also information about how the various bees work. I encourage you to give it a try. You are certain to make some new quilting friends.

Until next time,
    Joan
